-Next you will place the Descendant (DSC), Medium Coeli (MC or Midheaven) and Imum Coeli (IC or Nadir) cards into position.

 

-Using your chart and personal placement sheet, find what sign your Descendant, Midheaven and Nadir are in and pull the corresponding Sign card for each.

 

-Add the Element and Modality cards that are shown on each of the Sign cards pulled.

 

Note: Your Descendant, Midheaven and Nadir can be in the same modality. In this case you will use the information on that card to all that apply.

 

-Open to the Descendant, Midheaven and Nadir pages in your Alterlife Journal. Combine and analyze the keywords and concepts on your cards and take notes. You will come back to each of these pages, but this will begin your basic understanding of the Angles and Points in your chart and the signs they're in.

 

Ex: For Descendant in Libra you would place the Point card for Descendant, then pull the Sign card for Libra. This card will indicate the element and modality that corresponds to Libra (in this case the element is Air, the modality is Cardinal). This combination of cards will give you an initial understanding of the Descendant in the sign of Libra placement.

 

Note: This is just one part of your natal chart. There can be other factors that completely over power or contradict the above information. If something doesn’t resonate at all, it is very possible you have an emphasis on another, opposing sign in your chart. As you continue to break down your various placements, it will all fall into place.
